Scriptures If You Need Healing

Many of us will come to or are currently in a season of our lives where we need healing relationally, emotionally, mentally, financially or physically. Whatever the area is, know that God sees you, He fully knows your situation and He cares deeply about you. He even left us instructions on how to heal in His Word. Read these 5 scriptures to give you fresh insight on how to fully and completely heal.

Psalms 34:18

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

When I read this scripture, I think of two things. One, God already knows that many of us will experience a broken heart and/or disappoint, or He wouldn’t have mentioned it. Two, it is so comforting to know that even though crushing moments will come, God will never leave us, He actually saves us if we let Him.

Proverbs 4:20-22

“.. pay attention to my words... keep them in the center of your heart.
For they are life to those who find them, and healing and health to all their flesh.”

Lately, I’ve been reminded of how important it is to live a Christ-centered life. This means I don’t do things then go tell God about them. Instead, I go to God, ask Him for direction, then do the things He tells me to do. This has mostly saved me from waisting my time and being stressed. In this scripture, God says that His words are life, healing and health. What has God placed on your heart for you to do? This very act of obedience may be where you find your healing, it’s certainly a good start.

James 5:15

“… and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up…”

As a believer, prayer is one of our most valuable tools. If you are unsure on how to pray but are willing to try, call someone you trust to pray with you and for you. This way you don’t have to do it alone. If you do not have anyone in your life you can pray with, that’s okay, just start telling God exactly what is going on in your life. When you do this, the Holy Spirit will intervene on your behalf and give you the words to say when praying. Taking this first step and believing that God can do something about your situation through prayer, puts you in a position to be healed and raised up!

Isaiah 58:8

“Then your light will break out like the dawn,
and your healing (restoration, new life) will quickly spring forth...”

Some of us just need a refresh. So much has happened in our lives that we need restoration and a new life today! In this scripture, God promises that our healing will break out like the dawn of day. It is important that we believe this, so we can receive it. Keep giving your broken pieces, hurt, disappointments and pain to God. He knows what to do with them and He makes all things new!

3 John 2

“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].”

I believe this scripture is introducing a concept of wholeness to us. God not only desires for us to succeed and prosper outwardly, but He also desires and wants us to succeed and prosper inwardly too. God wants our public lives and our private lives to be successful, lacking nothing.

It is good to remember that the growth and repair that happens during a healing season can be foundational to your next blessing. As always, we are praying with and for you!

The Kléi
