5 Scriptures That Will Help You in Life

Take a scripture or two from this blog, meditate on it, memorize it, and hide it in your heart.

1. Proverbs 27:17 (AMP) “As iron sharpens iron,
So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].”

Jim Rohn, a successful motivational speaker, once said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. This is a great quote to reflect upon and apply to life. It is imperative that we have people surrounding us who are of good character, reliable and wise so that we can also exhibit these same qualities. It is also wise to surround ourselves with people who align with our goals or where we want to be in life so that we are always moving forward.

2.  2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self control].”

Fear, feeling inadequate and anxiety are not from God. Instead, God has given you a spirit of power, love, sound judgment, and personal discipline, which is the highest form of self-love. What God has given you unlocks your peace, confidence and optimal well-being.

3. Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

If you want to know how to achieve God’s plan for your life, go to God. Seek Him for guidance about the plans already in your heart. Ask Him to give you a sound mind, granting you clarity and strategy according to His good and perfect plan for your life. Sometimes, His plan will not look like your plan. As He shows you what His plan is, trust Him and have faith. He will meet you. He will not disappoint you (Eph. 3:20).

4. John 3:16 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This scripture introduces the greatest exchange - God’s Son’s life, for our salvation. As a daily principle, it is good to remember that God loved and gave and we should too. If we are not giving of our time, gifts or talents for His glory, then we are not extending the grace that was freely given to us. The second part of the scripture says, “whoever believes in Him shall not perish”. This lets me know that my belief in Him is good, it stands, it lasts, and it wins.

5. Ephesians 3:20 (AMP) “People may let us down, but He will not fail us. He never disappoints when we ask in line with His Word.”

Be bold and ask for the promises that are in God’s Word! For example, you can ask God to give you rest (Mathew 11:28), take care of all of your needs (Philippians 4:19), or to work everything out for your good (Romans 8:28).

Take all that you have read in this blog post, believe it, speak it, apply it, then see it come to fruition in your life!

XO,

The Kléi
