Investing in yourself is one of the most impactful decisions you can make. Personal growth, increased confidence, and better relationships are just a few benefits of self-investment. If you are looking for ways to invest in yourself this week, read the curated list below.

1. Prioritize Sleep

Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Create a relaxing bedtime routine and stick to a consistent sleep schedule.

Mix and match these ideas or use them as inspiration for a relaxing bedtime routine:

Digital Detox – turn off the screens an hour before bed, instead read, journal (gratitude journaling/free flowing), or meditate.

Aromatherapy – calm your mind and body with essential oils like lavender or chamomile, you can use them in a diffuser or pillow spray.

Drink Herbal Tea – a warm cup of herbal tea soothes the body and mind; common calming blends are chamomile and mint.

Warm Bath – add epsom salt, bubbles, and essential oils. Warm showers work too, add a shower steamer or add dried or fresh eucalyptus from your shower head.

Create a Sleep Sanctuary – transform your bedroom into a calming retreat. Be mindful of the colors and textures in your room that affect your sleep. Your environment is important – even minimizing clutter improves comfortability.

2. Stick to a Workout

Incorporate some physical activity into your daily routine, whether it's a brisk walk, yoga, or dancing. Choose something you enjoy! By choosing something you enjoy, you are more likely to be consistent with incorporating physical activity.

3. Focus on Nutrition

Plan and prepare healthy meals. Incorporate more fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains into your diet, and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Utilizing calorie tracker apps can be helpful until you get balanced in your nutritional intake. If it is too much to track all your intake, start by tracking your protein. It is better to start small then to not start at all!

4. Practice Mindfulness

Set aside some time each day for prayer, mindfulness, or meditation. This can help you manage stress and improve your mental clarity. When praying, pray scriptures over yourself concerning your health and well-being.

Scriptures….

"Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul."

3 John 1:2

“A joyful heart is good medicine…”

Proverbs 17:22

“So, I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should…”

1 Corinthians 9:26-27

”No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Hebrews 12:11

5. Connect With Others

Schedule time to reach out to friends or family. Whether it is a phone call, video chat, or in-person visit, maintaining connections can boost your mood and well-being.

Remember to listen to your body and adjust these activities to what feels right for you. If you need help tracking these habits, check out our habit trackers!
