Okay, I know the title says “5 things to do…” but the opportunity to talk about the beaches could not be missed! Simply put, they’re beautiful. Costa Rica is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea so there are various forms of beaches there.

Ostional Beach, Nicoya Peninsula - known for volcanic black sand and sea turtles.
